Contact a Family has entered into a pilot project with Citizens Advice Bureau to improve the supply of face to face debt advice to families with disabled children. The Liverpool area is one of the pilot areas in which the new service has started. There is one worker in Wavertee CAB, Pat Scanlon, who offers advice and help for families with disabled children anywhere in the Liverpool area. If you are in financial difficulties call the Wavertree CAB admin number, Tel: 0151 522 1401 and ask to make an appointment with Pat for the Contact a Family debt advice service.
This project prefers clients to be able to travel to Wavertree CAB (5-10 mins walk from Wavertree Tech Park or Edge Hill stations, or on bus route 79abc or d, 78,14, 61 or 73.) They can also make an appointment for you at Alder Hey Hospital where they hold regular outreach. Pat can do home visits but please note that he is visually impaired and will be accompanied by a guide dog.
