Our family workers offer parents one-to-one help and support through times of need.
Our volunteer parent representatives are all parents of disabled children and offer peer support and local signposting.

Managing challenging behaviour

Description: There are no single answers to dealing with challenging behaviour, but there are some common approaches which may have some effect. This event for parents and professionals involved in caring for children and young people of all disabilities will look at different types of challenging behaviour; understand causes and reasons behind it. It will also explore strategies and techniques to help manage it and to encourage better behaviour. Organised by Contact a Family with speaker Graham Valentine, from bibic.
Cost: Parents – free; professionals - £25. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
