| Our offices around the UK organise a wide range of training workshops, meetings and information events, ranging from workshops run by our Wales team on 'Coping with Challenging Behaviour' and 'Wheelchair Skills', to benefits advice for families in the Shetland Islands.
Families also get support from each other in informal ways. We organise social events so that parents and children can meet each other. For example our North East England team has reached hundreds of new families through free holiday cinema events specially for disabled children and their families.
In London, our eight projects ran a wide range of events for disabled children and their families, including holiday leisure activity days. For example, our Wandsworth office arranged a trip on the London Eye, whilst the team in Lewisham ran a canoeing and climbing day at a local activity centre.
